Dursey Island, further west is linked to the mainland by cable car, the only one of it's kind in the country. This area is remarkable for the variety of migrant birds that frequent it. There are two sandy beaches in the Garnish area. Lehanmore Community Centre on the road to Dursey is a stopping off point for information on Dursey and the Garnish area.
