The silly season is over and we can start to think about the following autumn courses at the Heritage Centre:

A Watercolour Weekend with Jenni White on the 18th and 19th September, learn to Paint with Watercolours: Floral Painting, probably Fuchsia, Skies & Mountains.... 2 days Painting including light lunches, Teas & Coffees.
€160 per person.

A Knitting Course with Marian O’Sullivan starting on 21st September at 7.30pm for 4 weeks, discovering new patterns and stitches.

A Basketry Workshop with Lynn Kirkham every Thursday from the 23rd September at 7.30pm for beginners and improvers, come along and make something simple from willow, or work on a larger longer project from your own ideas.

A four week Gardening Course with Harriet Roach starting on 5th October at 5pm for 4 weeks, covering end of season maintenance and preparation for next year and reflections on this years’ outcome, pruning, general maintenance, planting & design.

We will be at the City Hall in Cork on Thursday 30th September for the ‘Celebrating Cork’s Past’ Exhibition, entry is free so come in and see us if you are in the area.

Don’t forget if you have anything lying around at home in a shed or an attic that you think may be of interest to the Bere Island Heritage Centre either on permanent or short term loan, please bring it in to us and we will be delighted to display it on your behalf.
