Allihies Copper Mine Museum
A R T A L L I H I E S
West Cork and the Beara Peninsula have become synonymous with artistic activity and the Allihies region is no exception. The ever changing mood of this powerful landscape with its rugged terrain and bare rock standing defiantly against the power of the Atlantic Ocean has been a source of inspiration for very many artists who have been drawn to the area to live and work and contribute to the vitality of the community.
In recognition of this, Allihies Copper Mine Museum is presently presenting a series of exhibitions under the heading ART ALLIHIES from June through September. The programme consists of six two-person exhibitions featuring painting and sculpture and displaying a diverse range of approaches.
June 5th - June 22nd Jenny Richardson + Nealie O Sullivan
June 26th – July 13th Barbara Nolan + Alex Scade.
July 17th – August 3rd Anne Wilson + Tim Goulding
